Low Carb Fried Fish Nuggets

Easy fried fish nuggets breaded with a low carb baking blend and fried in coconut oil.

  • 1 1/2 Pounds Fresh Fish Fillets I used Lake Trout


Egg Wash

  • 3 Eggs

For Frying

Tartar Sauce

  • 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 Teaspoons Dill Relish
  • 1/2 Lemon Squeezed (about 2 Tablespoons)
  • 2 Tablespoons Diced Onions


  • Preheat refined coconut oil over medium-low heat in a large medium skillet.
  • Cut fish fillets into 2 inch pieces.
  • Combine all the breading ingredients in a shallow bowl.
  • Place eggs in another shallow bowl and mix well.
  • Dip fish pieces into egg, then dredge in the breading mixture.
  • Fry in the coconut oil for approximately 2 minutes on each side.
  • Drain on paper towels.

Make the Tartar Sauce

  • In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.


If you do not have the Trim Healthy Mama Baking Blend, you may use a blend of equal parts almond flour, coconut flour, and flax meal.
