Cheesy Sausage and Cabbage Skillet

An easy, one skillet meal made with cabbage and sausages. A surprise dairy free ingredient gives it cheesy flavor!

  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Small Head Cabbage Sliced (about 8 cups)
  • ΒΌ Cup Nutritional Yeast
  • 4 Sausages I use the ones pictured below
  • Salt and Pepper to taste


  • Preheat an iron skillet and melt butter. (You can use any skillet, but I love my iron skillet.)
  • Slice cabbage into thin strips and add to the hot butter.
  • Slice sausages and add to the skillet.
  • Sprinkle nutritional yeast over the sausage and cabbage.
  • Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, or until cabbage begins to wilt and sausages are heated through.
  • Season with salt and pepper, to taste.


You can make this recipe dairy free by replacing the butter with coconut oil.
I like to sprinkle crushed red pepper over mine when I eat it!
