Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 1 ½ Pounds Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts Cut Into Bite-Sized Pieces
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • ½ Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • Salt And Pepper To Taste

For the Teriyaki Sauce:

  • ½ Cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • ¼ Cup Keto Honey you can definitely use regular honey, but the recipe will not be low carb
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar Substitute
  • 1 Tablespoon Rice Vinegar
  • 1 Teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon Minced Garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon Minced Ginger
  • 2 Teaspoons Cornstarch Mixed With 2 Tablespoons Water For Thickening

Optional Garnishes:

  • Sliced Green Onions
  • Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 380°F.
  • Prepare the Chicken: In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, ground ginger, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  • Cook the Chicken: Arrange the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry the chicken for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Make the Teriyaki Sauce: While the chicken is cooked in an air fryer, combine soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until thickened (about 2–3 minutes).
  • Toss and Serve: Remove the chicken from the air fryer and toss it in the teriyaki sauce until evenly coated.
  • Garnish and Enjoy: Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if desired. Serve with rice or vegetables.

Notes

 
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • To reheat, place in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–5 minutes.
  • Use boneless, skinless chicken thighs instead of chicken breast for a juicier alternative.
