By now, it should be no surprise that I love buffalo flavored dishes. (See my Low Carb Hot Wings Recipe to find out how my obsession began.) The combination of hot sauce and butter is just a delight to my tastebuds! I'm always looking for more ways to include it in my dishes.
This recipe has a bit of an interesting background. Sometimes I start out to make a particular dish, but the idea evolves as I am working. I was needing to use up some cooked chicken I already had in the fridge. I had the thought to make a sort of stromboli or calzone with the chicken, but part way through, I had the idea to make them into crescents.

I was very pleased with how the dough rolled out so evenly, and the filling stayed inside the dough very nicely. All in all, it is a recipe that turned out great on the first try! (Which always makes me happy!)
These crescents would make a great appetizer, or a great supper when paired with a non-starchy vegetable and salad. I like to serve these with a low-carb ranch or blue cheese dressing.
You could change the fillings to match your tastes, if buffalo flavor is not your thing. I think I want to try a pepperoni pizza filling next time.
