A sample 1 week menu that fits the Trim Healthy Mama style of eating.

As a Trim Healthy Mama, you've no doubt heard how important okra is! This week's menu has okra every day! So if you've been looking for ways to incorporate it every day, check out this menu!

Having a plan is important for me - failing to plan is planning to fail. Right? And I keep thinking of this quote - "One year from now you'll wish you had started today!" Isn't that true? It is so easy to keep pushing things off . . . tomorrow I will start, tomorrow I will do better. Next week I should be able to eat healthy. Why not start today? Your future self will thank you!

I do mix things up sometimes - life happens and I'm not so tied to my menu plan that we can't go out for supper on the spur of the moment.

Having a menu plan is a big part of keeping me on plan! I love being able to look ahead and know what I'm going to eat and what I need to do to prepare.

This week, I have included okra every day. So, if you are looking to incorporate more okra in your diet (More info about okra in this post), here are a few ideas for you! Enjoy!

A couple of notes:

All recipes that say "THM Cookbook" refer to the first cookbook (NOT Trim Healthy Table). If you do not have your own copy of the Trim Healthy Mama cookbook, I would encourage you to put it on your wish list! Filled with on-plan recipes, it is an invaluable resource! (The Kindle version is currently only $1.99!)

If you have never tried the Tummy Spa Ice Cream, please give it a try! To me, it tastes like chocolate soft serve - SO amazing!

I do usually sub part of the almond milk for heavy cream to give it a richer mouth feel (this makes it an S, of course), and I process it in my ice cream maker for about 25 minutes. Even my kids like it when i make it this way!

And the Chocolate Moisties are always a big hit at my house. The cookies nearly melt in your mouth, they are so soft! My kids may or may not know that they contain okra! Ha!

As I started reading your post this morning, I jumped up and made your Secret Ingredient Hot Chocolate, using coffee and Salted Caramel flavor profile. Umm, WOW. Great job. I have a question regarding the Cheeseburger Salad: if I rinse the hamburger meat with wicked hot water, will that bring it into FP territory. And THEN if I top that with a few sweet potato fries, will it be an E? My take-away from the book is that rinsing browned hamburger meat with hot water makes it E-acceptable. I LOVE your blog!

Yay! I'm so so glad you enjoyed the hot chocolate! Yes, if you use a lower fat hamburger meat or rinse it very well, you could make it an E by adding sweet potato fries. Just be sure your toppings/cheese doesn't exceed 5 grams of fat. 🙂

I just found your blog while browsing the internet for menu planning ideas. I'm in a serious rut right now. I LOVE your menu plans and meal ideas. I am new to THM, and one thing I am trying to figure out is how to balance out all the time in the kitchen. Do you have any suggestions? When you have THM pancakes for breakfast for example--is that something you prepped ahead and had in the freezer? Or do you get up and cook a big breakfast most mornings? Thank you so much! I will be coming back here often!

For the Pancakes, I often make a big batch on the weekend, then have it ready for through the week. The other breakfasts, I usually try to keep pretty simple!!

I just found your awesome site with the THM meal plans. I was able to download the first two weeks but cannot find a download button for this and then next week meal plans. Is it here somewhere buried underneath something? I can copy and paste the entire page but that takes forever to paste and erase all of the ads and html text. Thanks!

Unfortunately, I don't think there are download buttons for the others.
